First commissioned XV Scanner unveiled to Minister Greg Hunt in Sydney

A significant milestone for 4DMedical’s journey as a company and the evolution of medical imaging has been realised.  Minister for Health Greg Hunt MP was a special guest at the unveiling of the world’s first dedicated lung scanner, the Generation One XV Scanner, at Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney.

The reveal was preceded by discussion at the University of New South Wales with participants including 4DMedical CEO Dr Andreas Fouras, Vice Chancellor Professor Attila Brungs, Dean of Medicine Professor Vlado Perkovic and Imaging NSW Director Professor Claudia Hillenbrand.  Patient advocate Christa Bayer from Lung Foundation Australia was also involved as a guest of 4DMedical, together with Dr Ron Shnier and Mark Simpson of I-MED Radiology Network.
